The School of 教育 offers two master's degree programs and several areas of specialization:

  • Literacy Instruction (May lead to Washington state and/or NAD reading specialist endorsement)

  • Instruction with Certification (Elementary) 
  • Instruction with Certification (Secondary)

申请的最后期限

  • Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis provided space is available. You may take up to 12 credits before being admitted and have those courses apply towards the master’s program of study. A completed application file must be received by May 1 to avoid delays in admission review. After May 1, files are not guaranteed to finish review in time for the summer quarter start.

  • Programs leading to initial licensure in elementary and secondary education are approved by the Washington State Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB).

These programs teach basic research skills and techniques; focus on research in emerging policy, practice, and professional life; address contemporary issues, needs, and trends in education and psychology; provide supervised practicums in the area of specialization; and assist students in the development and application of a philosophy of Christian service.

Length

Teachers can finish in two years for the SPED degree. M的大多数浓度.Ed are completed in 4 summers or less. M.I.T is 2 years full-time, on-campus or commuting, including student teaching hours.

Format

M完全在线.Ed浓度. Start any term depending on class availability, Summer quarter is the preferred entry term. M.I.T. certification options are on-campus for an entry term of the Summer or Fall quarter.
